Designed For Life

More than 240 Brisbane home buyers seeking quality, luxury and location have moved into their new homes at Mirvac's $200 million Unison Development in Newstead, where more than 90 percent of apartments have sold.

Leading property developer Mirvac has welcomed over $165 million in settlements since the second stage of the luxury Unison development finalised construction in early 2017, marking the project’s completion.

Mirvac Queensland Residential General Manager Warwick Bible said while Unison had appealed to a range of buyer groups, a significant proportion of sales had come from buyers in the local area looking to make the switch to apartment living.

“We’ve seen a clear trend towards functional apartment living from buyers currently residing in more traditional dwellings within Brisbane’s inner-north suburbs,” he said.

“Unison has been very popular with Brisbane buyers, demonstrating the vast appeal Unison holds for those who don’t want to compromise on size or quality to get the benefit of apartment living so close to the CBD.

“What’s more, being walking distance from the Gasworks precinct where residential, retail and entertainment offerings are combined has certainly contributed to the project’s sales success and we’re thrilled to be delivering such high quality product to the city of Brisbane.”

Two such locals are downsizers Graham and Dianne Loy who didn’t think twice about purchasing their second Mirvac-built home in Brisbane.

“Given our previous home in Wakerley was also built by Mirvac, we already knew the standard of finish would be exceptional,” Mr Loy said.

“In addition to its low-maintenance layout and amazing views, the apartment is considerably larger than anything we’d ever expected to have in such a central location and the quality of our fixtures, fittings and appliances is second to none.

“It was hugely comforting to know that Mirvac was there to help us transition seamlessly from one stage of our life to the next.”

Mr Loy added that the development’s proximity to both the CBD and local amenities was an additional drawcard to their three bedroom, two bathroom apartment.

“As empty nesters looking for a smaller home with all the benefits of city living at our fingertips, Unison is perfect,” he said.

“The location is superb, with access to the CityCat just a short walk away and the precinct’s great restaurants and shops literally on our doorstep.”
